Kim has pursued part time studies in vocal technique, drama and movement since 1990, with private tutors and through the Melba Conservatorium of Music and the National Theatre, St Kilda. In 2003 Kim also gained her ATCL qualification from the Trinity Collage of Music in London.

Being currently engaged as a regular soloist at several churches and participating in occasional concert performances, Kim has over the years performed with many musical groups in Melbourne, both amateur and professional, including the Diamond Valley Singers, Babirra Music Theatre, The Maroondah Orchestra, Preston Symphony Orchestra, the G&S Society, Eastern Metropolitan Opera, Cantus Caritus and Acoustic Voice.

Kim has performed in a range of works including Mendelssohns “Elijah”, JS Bachs “Magnificat”, Mozarts “Requiem”, Gilbert and Sullivans’ “Pirates of Penzance”, “The Mikado” and “The Gondoliers”, Puccinis “Suor Angelica”, Mozarts “Mass in C Minor”, Handels “Messiah” and Benjamin Brittens “St Nicolas”.
