2013 saw the birth of Acoustic Voice and with over 100 performances and international tours to North America and Latin America since then, the last four years has paved the way for an exciting and promising 2017.
Acoustic Voice is exploring options to present children-based performances that have both social and artistic merit.
At the end of 2016, following the trial use of a digital piano as a suitable instrument for accompanying performances, Acoustic Voice is finalising plans of equipment set-up so that there is the most minimal aesthetic compromise possible. This is seen as important as it opens up the possibility of using many more acoustic venues, such as a town hall, where no concert standard instrument is readily available.
With a pre Broadway run of a West End Musical Revue about Ethel Merman launched in the US in 2015, Acoustic Voice has established itself as a legitimate, exciting and prolific performance company. With a strong vision moving into 2017, Acoustic Voice is positioned to make a substantial difference as the year unfolds.
We are exploring the development of ‘The Merman Theater Songbook’ for the local and international markets. With a highly experienced cast, a songbook from the likes of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Jule Styne and tales about one of Americas finest in Ethel Merman, this program will keep everyone entertained!
Acoustic Voice is currently working on a program within the Melbourne Community that will see performances held regularly for new audiences. This will then expand into touring to regional centres. More to be released soon.
